Arrival in Dushanbe, the capital and cultural heart of Tajikistan. Upon early midnight arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in.

After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Dushanbe. Start with Rudaki Park, named after Rudaki, the celebrated Persian-Tajik poet regarded as the founder of classical Persian literature. Continue to Ismail Somoni Monument, dedicated to the founder of the Samanid dynasty, and visit Independence Square, one of the city's important landmarks

Continue to the impressive National Museum of Tajikistan, where exhibits provide an introduction to the country's history, archaeology, culture and natural heritage. Later, visit Koh-i Navruz, an ornate cultural and architectural complex decorated with traditional Tajik craftsmanship, woodwork and colourful interiors. 

In the afternoon, explore Mehrgon Bazaar, one of Dushanbe's lively local markets. Wander through stalls filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, dried fruits, nuts, spices and traditional products. The evening is free to enjoy Dushanbe at your own pace.

After breakfast, depart Dushanbe and travel west towards the historic Hissar Valley. Visit the impressive Hissar Fortress, one of the region's best-known historical monuments. The fortress once stood along important routes connecting Central Asia and was surrounded by a bustling settlement, madrassas and caravan activity.

Continue your journey towards the spectacular Fann Mountains. The road gradually climbs through dramatic mountain scenery, deep valleys and traditional villages. Arrive at Lake Iskanderkul, one of Tajikistan's most famous natural attractions. Surrounded by rugged mountains, the lake is named after Alexander the Great, whose name in Persian tradition is associated with Iskander.

Enjoy a leisurely walk along the lakeshore and take in the beautiful mountain scenery. Continue to the nearby Fann Niagara Waterfall, where a short walk leads to a viewpoint overlooking the rushing mountain waters. Later, proceed to your accommodation in the mountain area.

After breakfast, leave Iskanderkul and continue through the spectacular Fann Mountain landscapes towards Panjakent. The journey offers numerous opportunities to admire snow-capped peaks, mountain valleys and traditional settlements.

Travel deeper into the valley, stopping at several scenic viewpoints along the way. Depending on road and weather conditions, visit some of the most accessible lakes before arriving at a traditional mountain guesthouse.

Today is dedicated to exploring the spectacular Seven Lakes valley. After breakfast, set out by local 4WD vehicles where required to explore the mountain road and lakes. The landscape changes dramatically from one lake to another, with each body of water surrounded by towering cliffs, green valleys and small mountain settlements. 

Visit several of the best-known lakes, such as Nofin, Khurdak, Marguzor and Hazorchashma, subject to road and weather conditions. Enjoy short nature walks around selected viewpoints and have plenty of time for photography

Along the way, encounter traditional villages and observe the simple lifestyle of communities living in this remote mountain region. A picnic-style lunch or local meal can be arranged depending on the final operating conditions. 

Return to the guesthouse in the afternoon and enjoy a relaxed evening surrounded by the mountains.

After breakfast, descend from the Seven Lakes valley and continue to Panjakent, an ancient settlement once associated with the powerful Sogdian civilization. Visit the Ancient Panjakent archaeological site, where the remains of an ancient city provide a fascinating glimpse into life in Central Asia before the Arab conquest. 

Continue to Sarazm, a UNESCO World Heritage archaeological site and one of the oldest known urban settlements in Central Asia. The site provides evidence of early agriculture, metalworking, trade and cultural exchanges between different parts of the region.

Return to modern Panjakent and visit the local bazaar, where you can experience everyday Tajik life and browse stalls selling fruits, nuts, spices, handicrafts and local products. 

Check into the hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.

After breakfast, depart Panjakent and travel towards Khujand, one of Tajikistan's oldest cities. The journey takes you through beautiful mountain scenery and rural landscapes.

En route, stop in Istaravshan, a historic city that has been an important centre of trade and craftsmanship for centuries. Explore the old quarters of the city and visit Mug Teppe Fortress, associated with the ancient history of Istaravshan.

Continue to the elegant Kok Gumbaz Mosque, recognisable by its distinctive blue dome, and explore the traditional bazaar and craftsmen's areas. Istaravshan is particularly known for traditional handicrafts, including wood carving, metalwork and knife-making.

After sightseeing, continue to Khujand, located in the fertile Fergana Valley. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

After breakfast, embark on a full-day exploration of Khujand, a historic city situated along the Syr Darya River and an important centre on the ancient Silk Road. 

Begin with Khujand Fortress, an important historical landmark that has been rebuilt and restored over the years. Continue to the Sheikh Muslihiddin Mausoleum, one of the city's important religious and architectural monuments. 

Next, visit Panjshanbe Bazaar, one of the largest and liveliest markets in the region. Walk through the colourful food halls and explore stalls selling dried fruits, nuts, spices, sweets, fresh produce and traditional products. 

Continue to Kamoli Khujandi Park, named after the famous Tajik-Persian poet Kamol Khujandi. Later, drive to the Kayrakkum Reservoir, often referred to as the "Tajik Sea", for a scenic excursion. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and views across the vast body of water before returning to Khujand

After breakfast, begin the scenic journey back to Dushanbe. The drive takes you through the mountainous landscapes of central Tajikistan, with opportunities to stop at scenic viewpoints and local villages along the way. 

Enjoy the changing scenery as the route passes through mountain valleys and highland areas before gradually descending towards the capital. Depending on the road and weather conditions, make suitable photo stops along the journey.

Upon arrival in Dushanbe, check into your hotel and enjoy some free time. You may wish to take a final walk around the city, shop for souvenirs or relax at the hotel. 

In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner featuring traditional Tajik cuisine. A cultural performance can be arranged, subject to availability, providing a fitting conclusion to your journey through Tajikistan.

After breakfast, enjoy your final morning in Dushanbe at leisure, depending on your flight departure time. You may take the opportunity to purchase last-minute souvenirs or enjoy a relaxed coffee before checking out.
